Virginia E. (Kocar) Zern

Peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2018, Virginia Kocar Zern, age 94, of Pittsburgh PA, passed with beloved family at her side. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Anthony Zern and is survived by her brother, Herk Kocar of East Hartford, CT; her son, Paul John Zern (Bridget); and daughter, Denise Zern Serbin (David). She delighted in her four grandchildren, Evan Paul Pelc, Krystal Zern Rutledge (Patrick), Brittany Zern (Chuck) and Samantha Zern (Austin). She was especially blessed by her four great-grandchildren, Liliana Pelc, Taylor and Jason Rutledge, and Jordyn Zern Reeg. To know Virginia, was to love her and her love will live on in all the lives that she touched! Family to receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday only at the Hughes Funeral Home, Inc., 1501 Lowrie St., Pgh., PA 15212-Troy Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Most Holy Name Church, Troy hill, on Thursday at 10:30 AM.
