SELMA M. UHLIG
Selma M. Uhlig, 84, of Troy Hill, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Troy Hill and will be fondly remembered for her presence in the community and her devotion to family, friends and her Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Cecilia Uhlig, and her siblings, Jacque Uhlig, Marcella Sobczak and Eileen Wehner. She is survived by her brother Dennis (Yvonne) Uhlig; her sister Claire (John) Salvatore; and many beloved cousins. She was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Selma was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an avid skier and enjoyed traveling. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1501 Lowrie Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212-Troy Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on January 22, 2026, in Most Holy Name Church, Troy Hill. In Lieu of flowers, and due to allergies, memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Selma to St. Anthony Chapel, 1700 Harpster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
