RONALD V. BABASH

Age 87, of North Side, formerly of Lincoln Place, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Ron is survived by his wife Rita of 57 years, his son Matthew (Claudia), grandson Gabriel, sister-in-law Carole Babash, and nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Valentine, his brother Raymond, and brother-in-law James Werderber. Family and friends will be received from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, and from 10-11 am, on Wednesday January 28, 2026, at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1501 Lowrie St., Pgh., PA 15212-Troy Hill, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday. Ron graduated from Taylor Allderdice, Class of 56, proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years as A Radarman, and worked at LTV Steel until his retirement.
