Melva "Mel" (Thompson) Campbell

Age 93, of Troy Hill, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Campbell; loving mother of Richard (Pat) Campbell, Thomas (Helen) Campbell, Peggy (Jerry) Tishky, Kevin, Keith and Patrick Campbell; loving grandmother of Kimberly Simpson, Richard (Robin) Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Stephanie (The late Bob) White, Megan Chambers (Justin Kovach), Kara (Jarod) Schinella, Michael (Carly) Chambers, Jessica (Adam) Halbedl and Sean Campbell; dear great grandmother of Maggie, Paige, Malcolm, Dani, Nora, Charlotte, Joseph, Robert, Cullen, Matthew, Abi, Madi, Kian, Lydia, Jake, Victoria, Emily and Connor. Melva was the youngest and only daughter of the late Ann and Newell Thompson, she was preceded in death by her four brothers the late Anthony, Ralph, Regis and Cal Thompson. She is survived by two nieces, MaryLou Grace and Pat Wagner and a nephew Ken Thompson.  Family and friends will be received 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1501 Lowrie Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212-Troy Hill, where a Blessing Service will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. "Mel" enjoyed spending summers at Conneaut Lake with her friends. She was a past member of Most Holy Name Christian Mothers and The Daughters of Erin.
