Mary Lou (Cornett) Carr

On July 30th, 2021, Mary Lou (Cornett) Carr, age 90 years and two months, residing in North Hills, PA, formerly of Spring Hill, PA, Troy Hill, PA, Dormont, PA, and North Hills, PA, left her earthly life to be with Our Lord. She was the tenth of eleven children and preceded in death by her Parents, Francis Theodore Cornett and Stella Caroline (Bentz) Cornett, her former Husband Regis James Carr Sr., and their daughter, Kathleen Moser. Brothers Ray, Ralph, Frank, Joe, and Ed Cornett. Sisters Dolores Elizabeth Winghart, Dorothy Ann Jastrzebski, Gilda Ann Tyszka, Virginia Mary Suess, and Betty Jane Cornett.

Wolf, and Rege Carr Il. Loving Grandmother of Missy & Husband Mike McGarvey, Mike & Wife Beth Pollard, Matt Pollard and Fiancé, Ashley Johnson, Larry Yingling Jr., Suzanne & Jared Steinberg, Sara Al-Saigh, Christian Bonito, Summer Haidze, Jaime Siriano, Vikki Moser, DJ Douglas, and nine adorable Great Grandchildren. Survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mary Lou and her family lived in Spring Hill, PA, moving to Troy Hill, PA in 1940 after the death of their Father. She attended St. Ambrose, St. Marys, and St. Benedict Academy Schools. Her various employments were at Allegheny General Hospital, Mellon Bank, & the Westin (Omni) William Penn Hotel. After enlisting in the WAC (Women's Army Corps), she returned home to marry and became a devoted Mother to her six Children. Her hobbies were Cake Decorating, Childcare for many wonderful families' children, and Genealogy.
She was a wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, witty, very kind person, and cared a great deal about many people. She will be forever missed and loved.
Visitation, Funeral Service, and Burial Service will be on Thursday, August 12th, 2021. Visitation / Paying Respects with Family and Friends will be from 11 am to 12 noon at St. Anthony's Chapel, Troy Hill, PA

Burial Service (Family Plot) at St. Mary Cemetery, Mt. Troy Road, Pittsburgh, PA.
In lieu of flowers, per her specific request and her wishes, in her name, please donate money to to train a Dog for a Blind Person, to help pay tuition for a Catholic School Student, to PCUC (Parents Concerned for the Unborn Children), or to the Animal Rescue League.
