Lori J. (Higginbotham) Green
Lori Green (Higginbotham) died on Friday, December 4, 2020, in her home after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Lori is survived by her husband, John T. Green III, her children, Lonney Ledford and Lindsay (James) Downs, her siblings, Judy Reitz and Lisa (Michael) Gallant. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Cole, Lori, Atom, and Cora, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lori was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Judith Higginbotham, and her sister Renee. Lori was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 7, 1960. She discovered her love of driving and traveling at a young age, learning how to drive her father's 18-wheeler when she was fifteen years old. She was known by her loved ones for her beauty and strong-willed personality, overcoming any challenge that was thrown her way. She became a registered nurse in 1998, spending many years on the cardio-pulmonary unit at UPMC Shadyside before transitioning into case management with United Healthcare, where she retired from in 2016. Those who remember her recall her love of music, cooking, and painting. A memorial will be scheduled at a later date due to COVID. For those that want to send their love, know that she would say, "love you more." Arrangements entrusted to the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC.-Troy Hill. Please post condolences on Lori's tribute wall at www.hughesfhinc.com.
