Joseph R. Winters
Age 93, of Reserve Township, on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Beloved husband of Gladys (Matheis) Winters for 72 years; loving father of Karen Welling, Cindy (Darrell) Hinson, Joseph Winters, Diane Winters, Michelle Young, Jeff (Barbara) Winters, Lisa (Earl) Shiring, and the late Donna (Jeff-Surviving) Binder; son of the late Louis and Barbara (Baumgartner) Winters; dear grandfather to thirteen wonderful grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; dear brother of the late Bob Winters, Annette Hofman, Ralph Winters, Ray Winters, Marie Sevcik, Dr. Louis Winters and Rita Schmidt. There will be no Public Visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on, Friday August 23, 2024, in St. Anthony Chapel-Most Holy Name Parish, 1700 Harpster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Chapel, 1700 Harpster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Joe went to proudly serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Joe was a bus driver for 25 years for the Port Authority, a member of St. Anthony Lyceum and an avid bowler. In Joe's final days, he was lovingly cared for with the help of Good Samaritan Home Hospice Care. Arrangements entrusted to the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., Troy Hill.
