Suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2022, formerly of Troy Hill. Beloved husband of the late Jean A. (Lieb) Ernst; devoted father of Russell J. (Mary) Ernst, Richard D. Ernst, Linda J. (Steve) Spielman, David C. (Janice) Ernst, Donna M. (and the late Mark) Snyder, Patricia A. (Luke) Neice, Marie A. “Bunny” (Dan) Skaggs. Preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Agnes Ernst. He was the cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Marilyn E. Meehan and William H. Ernst. Elmer will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family and faith. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish-St. Ursula Church, 3937 Kirk Avenue, Allison Park, PA 15101. Relatives and friends are invited to join Elmer's family at his memorial luncheon in the Parish Center immediately following the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
