ELIZABETH M. “BETTY” (CHRASKA) ROTHERT

Age 97, of Spring Hill-St. Ambrose Manor, formerly born and raised on Troy Hill, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Loving daughter of the late Leo and Catherine (Lunz) Chraska; beloved wife of the late Alfred L. Rothert Jr.; loving mother of Alfred L.” Buz” (and the late Kathy) Rothert III, Mary Beth (Tim) Weis, and Peggy Rothert (Deb Wiley); dear grandmother of Sherry Rothert, Becky Weis, and Crystal (Tom) Karayusuf; dear great-grandmother of Ashlee, Jake, and Alyssa Karayusuf; dear sister of John Chraska and the late Gertrude McCall and Leo “Brud” Chraska. Family and friends will be received 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1501 Lowrie Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212-Troy Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Christ Our Savior Parish- St. Boniface Church, 2208 East Street Pittsburgh, PA 15212 (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Betty will be sadly missed by the friends she had on C-2, at Vincentian Marian Manor. Betty was a Past President of the Christian Mothers at St. Ambrose Church.
