Dorothy B. "Dot" Bauerle

Age 93, of Shaler Twp., Died peacefully on Sunday May, 29, 2016.  Beloved Wife of the late Francis J. "Dutch" Bauerle for 62 Years.  Loving mother of William H. Bauerle of Latrobe and Michael F. Bauerle; loving grandmother of Bill, Danalyn, Maeve, Andrew and Stephen and loving "Dottie Girl" to Judy, Joey, Courtney Sobolak and all her friends at the VFW Post 7090 and across the sea in Ireland.  She was born and raised on Bohemian Hill (Troy Hill) Pittsburgh on February 18, 1923 to the late Harry H. and Josephine (Funfar) Lavsa; and also predeceased by her brother Harry T (Esther); and sisters, Evelyn N. (Nick) and Laverne H. (Ray).  Family to receive friends 2-4 & 6-8:30 p.m WEDNESDAY ONLY at the Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 Lowrie Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212-Troy Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Most Holy Name Church, Troy Hill.  Dot was a proud, loving and lifelong homemaker and an inspirational force to her family.  Prior to marrying Dutch, Dot worked at Haller's Bottling on the North Side.  Later, during the early years of marriage, she worked as a Revlon representative in Sears cosmetics department as Dutch pursued his degree at Pitt University.  Although never boastful, she was proud acknowledge that she bought their first new Chevy in 1951.  Dot remained active into her 90s, enjoying socializing with friends and family.  With a cold Coors and a good dance song on the jukebox, Dottie was a happy girl!  May Her good times be Eternal!!
