Catherine L. “Kay” (Zupanic) Oberst

Age 98 passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 after a short illness. Catherine was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh. She was born and raised in Millvale and lived on Troy Hill for 74 years following her marriage. She and her husband Ray were faithful members of Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal friend to all who knew her. Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Raymond and her son Robert. She will be greatly missed by her surviving son David (Kathy) of Rockville, MD, grandson Scott (Kristina), of Somerville, MA, granddaughter, Christine (Showvik) and great grandson, Nathan of Malvern, PA. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at MOST HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1520 Claim St., Pgh., PA 15212-Troy Hill from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  Arrangements entrusted to the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC. – Troy Hill.
