Bernadette “Bernie” Deutschbauer was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at North Hills Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Bernie was born in Pittsburgh, PA , on January 5, 1944, daughter of the late Stephen and Gertrude Delach; beloved wife of the late Frances Xavier Deutschbauer; loving mother of Eric (Sara) Deutschbauer, Christian (Lisa) Deutschbauer, and Adam (Lynn) Deutschbauer; dear sister of Patricia (Delach) DeGroot and Stephen (Lynn) Delach; proud grandmother of Natalie and Eli Deutschbauer, Nicholas Deutschbauer, Luke, Grant and Alex Deutschbauer; son of her spirit Michael (Brandy) Rothermund. Bernie loved her family and enjoyed sharing time with them, especially going out to dinner. She also loved her dogs. Bernie adopted elderly dogs and cared for them when they no longer had a home. She took them into her home providing them with food, shelter and lots of love in their last days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in St. James Church, Divine Redeemer Parish, 200 Walnut Street, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Everyone please meet at the church), In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations or contributions be one of your choice.
